Role Summary:
Join our dynamic team as a Mid-Level SAP MM Consultant, a fully remote opportunity based in Kerala, India. We are seeking a dedicated professional to play a pivotal role in optimizing our supply chain and procurement processes using SAP Materials Management (MM) and Warehouse Management (WM) modules. This is an exciting chance to contribute significantly to key projects, leveraging your expertise to drive efficiency, innovation, and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the full lifecycle of SAP MM and WM implementations, including blueprinting, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective SAP MM and WM solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Perform comprehensive configuration across various SAP MM sub-modules such as Purchasing (PR, PO, RFQ, Contracts, Scheduling Agreements), Inventory Management (Goods Receipts, Goods Issues, Stock Transfers, Physical Inventory), Valuation and Account Determination, and Master Data (Material Master, Vendor Master, Service Master).
- Implement and configure SAP WM functionalities, including warehouse structure definition, put-away strategies, picking strategies, stock movements, and inventory management within the warehouse environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including other SAP module consultants (e.g., FI/CO, SD, PP), developers, and business users, to ensure seamless integration and end-to-end business process optimization.
- Develop and execute detailed test plans (unit, integration, user acceptance testing - UAT) to ensure the quality, integrity, and performance of SAP MM and WM solutions.
- Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and timely resolution of incidents and problems related to SAP MM and WM functionalities.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, configuration guides, process flows, and user manuals.
- Conduct effective user training sessions and provide continuous guidance and support to end-users on SAP MM and WM functionalities and best practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance existing processes and systems, driving efficiency and adopting new SAP functionalities.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of demonstrable experience as an SAP MM Consultant, with significant hands-on exposure to SAP WM.
- While no specific required skills were provided in the initial brief, candidates are expected to possess deep expertise in the following areas crucial for an SAP MM Consultant role:
- Extensive hands-on experience in SAP MM configuration, customization, and support activities.
- Proficiency in key SAP MM business processes including master data management, purchasing, inventory management, material valuation, and invoice verification.
- Strong understanding and practical experience with SAP WM module functionalities, including inbound and outbound processing, internal warehouse movements, and physical inventory processes within WM.
- Solid grasp of integration points between SAP MM/WM and other core SAP modules (e.g., FI/CO, SD, PP).
- Ability to gather, analyze, and translate complex business requirements into robust functional specifications and configure SAP solutions accordingly.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAP certification in Materials Management (MM) or Warehouse Management (WM).
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA Logistics, particularly in MM and WM functionalities (e.g., embedded EWM).
- Exposure to integration technologies like EDI, ALE, API, or third-party logistics (3PL) systems.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools.
- Prior experience in specific industry sectors such as manufacturing, retail, consumer goods, or automotive.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced, remote work environment.
