Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior SAP MM Consultant to join our dynamic team. This is a pivotal full-time, remote position based out of Middletown, Delaware, United States, offering the opportunity to lead critical SAP Material Management initiatives from design to deployment. Key Responsibilities

As a Senior SAP MM Consultant, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the full lifecycle implementation of SAP MM solutions, including requirements gathering, business process analysis, system design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert for all SAP MM functionalities, including Purchasing (PR, PO, RFQ, Contracts, Release Strategy), Inventory Management (Goods Receipt, Goods Issue, Transfers, Cycle Counting), Valuation, Account Determination, Invoice Verification (LIV), and Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
  • Collaborating with business stakeholders to understand their needs, translate them into functional and technical specifications, and propose robust SAP MM solutions that align with best practices.
  • Ensuring seamless integration between SAP MM and other modules such such as SAP FI/CO, SD, PP, and WM/EWM.
  • Conducting workshops, providing training, and developing comprehensive documentation for end-users and support teams.
  • Performing root cause analysis for issues, providing effective solutions, and managing change requests.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives and staying current with new SAP technologies and functionalities, particularly S/4HANA.
  • Mentoring junior consultants and contributing to the overall knowledge sharing within the team.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience as an SAP MM Consultant, with a proven track record of successful full lifecycle implementations and support projects.
  • Deep expertise in SAP Material Management (MM) module configuration and business processes, including:
    • Purchasing (Procure-to-Pay process)
    • Inventory Management
    • Logistics Invoice Verification (LIV)
    • Material Master Data Management
    • Vendor Master Data Management
    • Pricing Procedures
    • Output Management
    • MRP (Material Requirements Planning)
  • Strong understanding of integration points between SAP MM and other core SAP modules (FI/CO, SD, PP, WM).
  • Experience with different SAP versions, including ECC 6.0 and preferably S/4HANA.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP MM or S/4HANA certification.
  • Experience with S/4HANA implementation or conversion projects.
  • Knowledge of ABAP debugging for troubleshooting and technical specification review.
  • Familiarity with related SAP modules or technologies such as SAP Ariba, EWM, or IBP.
  • Experience working in a global or multi-national project environment.
  • Master's degree or equivalent advanced qualification.
