Senior QA Automation Engineer (Financial Domain | 12+ Years)

Senior Quality Assurance Engineer – Automation (Financial Domain) Experience: 12+ Years | Location: Onsite/Hybrid

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Automation Engineer with 12+ years of experience in end-to-end quality engineering, including strong hands-on expertise in automation frameworks, API testing, test strategy, and QA governance. The ideal candidate must have deep exposure to the Financial Services / Banking / Payments domain, with proven experience testing complex, high-transaction systems.

Automation & Framework Development

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Selenium, Appium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, or Robot Framework.
• Develop and optimize API automation using Postman, RestAssured, Karate, or similar tools.
• Implement CI/CD-driven automation pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Bitbucket Pipelines, etc.
• Enhance test frameworks for better coverage, reusability, and reporting.

Testing & Quality Governance

• Create and execute test strategies, test plans, and test cases for complex financial applications.
• Perform regression, functional, integration, performance, and UAT testing.
• Validate end-to-end platform flows: trading systems, payments, settlements, compliance workflows, reconciliation, fund transfers, etc.
• Conduct risk-based testing to ensure compliance with financial regulations.

Financial Domain Expertise

• Strong domain knowledge in one or more:

  • Banking & Payments
  • Investment & Trading Platforms
  • Wealth Management
  • Lending & Credit Products
  • Treasury, Risk, or Financial Data Platforms

• Familiarity with SOX controls, audit requirements, and financial data validations.

DevOps, Cloud & Engineering

• Work with AWS/Azure/GCP cloud-based deployments.
• Set up test data automation & synthetic datasets leveraging SQL, ETL pipelines or cloud data tools.
• Build automated checks into DevOps pipelines to ensure continuous quality.

Collaboration & Leadership

• Lead QA activities for projects; mentor junior QA engineers and oversee testing deliverables.
• Collaborate with Product, Development, Architecture, and DevOps teams.
• Drive quality strategy, automation roadmap, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• 12+ years of professional QA experience with at least 7+ years in Automation.
• Strong proficiency in Java / Python / JavaScript for automation scripting.
• Expertise with Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright, Appium.
• Hands-on experience with API automation and tools like Postman & RestAssured.
• Advanced SQL skills for data validation.
• Experience with Kafka, message queues, and microservices testing (preferred).
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Experience using JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, or similar test management tools.
• Experience in Financial Services is mandatory.

• Exposure to performance testing using JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Knowledge of BDD/TDD, Gherkin, and behavior-driven automation.
• Familiarity with cloud-native architectures, containers (Docker), Kubernetes.
